Project Manager – Design-Build Construction

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of federal design-build construction projects. This role includes full Profit/Loss accountability, project oversight, and independent decision-making with minimal supervision.

The Project Manager will manage contract processes, pre-construction planning, and supervise cross-functional teams to ensure quality, safety, and timely delivery.



Key Responsibilities

Manage contract award, pre-construction planning, and project execution

Phases

Full Profit/Loss responsibility for project financials

Lead and supervise project team members across safety, estimating, quality control, and field operations

Prepare and review submittals and coordinate subcontractor deliverables

Develop and maintain cost-loaded CPM schedules.

Ensure compliance with contract requirements, safety, and quality standards

Facilitate client and subcontractor meetings to support project delivery

Drive proposal strategy and procurement processes, including pricing analysis



Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 10 years’ experience with federal design-build construction projects

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering



Business

Ability to obtain secret security clearance (required)

One of the following certifications or licenses:

Certified Construction Manager (CCM)

Project Management Professional (PMP)

Designated Design-Build Professional (DBIA)

Licensed Professional Engineer or Registered Architect

Alternatively, 10 additional years of construction management experience without certification

Experience with federal agencies such as GSA, NAVFAC, USACE, WHS

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously



Critical Skills

• Strong leadership and communication skills

Highly organized and detail-oriented

Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and project management software like Procore

and Blue Beam

Ability to read and interpret technical specs, drawings, and contracts

Self-motivated with strong accountability and follow-through
